EmilyEmily has been working with Heckers’ Fitness as a personal trainer since 2008 and we are truly blessed to have her. She has a lifetime of experience in competitive fitness starting out as a gymnast early on and switched to competitive diving after becoming a level 10 gymnast. She also did very well in track and field setting a couple of records but competing and training with the national dive team took most of her time. She was even on pace to compete in the 2008 Olympics until she suffered a career ending shoulder injury.

Some interesting accomplishments:

  • Made it to the finales in 3 meter springboard at US Open, 2005
  • 2nd place finisher at the US open 10 meter platform, 2006
  • Division 1 diver for two years in college, 2006-2009
  • A member of the Auburn’s NCAA championship team, 2006-2007
  • Coached diving at Purdue Natatorium
  • Coached gymnastics at Sharpes Gymnastics Academy

Yes, Emily is talented but one of her greatest attributes is her sincere love for people and having a good time. She recently completed her first half ironman and marathon, and is now preparing to have her first child. In the mean time she continues to particapate in strength training, yoga, & swimming, Although her cycling and gymnastics are on hold, she can not wait to return to normal activities.
