Raquel was born and raised in Indianapolis, but spent 13 years living and working in New York City. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis (IUPUI). She is a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), as well as a certified USA Cycling Coach. Raquel has over 15 years of experience working with a wide range of populations in many different fitness domains including strength, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, balance and coordination. Because of her experience, she has
a clear understanding of the everyday challenges people face when it comes to their fitness goals. Raquel knows how to meet people where they are on their fitness journey and put them on the path to where they want to be.

Raquel has been an athlete her entire life with the majority of her focus being on endurance sports – distance running, triathlon and road bike racing. She was a stand-out high school runner, which earned her a near-full scholarship to run at IUPUI. After college, she moved to New York City and immediately became involved with the endurance sports community. After experiencing success in triathlon, she became a bike racer and was soon one of New York City’s top female racers. Although she does not race anymore, she enjoys helping other cyclists achieve their goals.

Whatever your fitness goals are, Raquel will devise a program that will be both challenging and achievable!
